Hasbro has released an open source / public domain / creative common rules version called SRD5.1.
Dragon Adventures has switched to SRD5.1 which is a full publishable independent game with all rpg game tables and dice useability from Hasbro:
This work includes material taken from the System Reference
Document 5.1 (“SRD 5.1”) by Wizards of
the Coast LLC and available at https://dnd.wizards.com/resources/systems-reference-document.
The
SRD 5.1 is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution
The rest of Dragon Adventures is original game code that we first developed as an Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game patch to use as test rules on D20.
Those core rules are available on this page under the D20 section on our beta game.
The game modules and storytelling content do not fall under this license for any publisher.
That means when you publish under the SRD5.1 RPG Public Domain Rules this does not count any game module material.
We are keeping the Dragon Adventures D20 RPG Beta free test game on this page and then added the SRD5.1 to the beta test, this is to test the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rules on D20 to develop our game patch that is now Official Dragon Adventures RPG game code.
Use the beta rules for open source on your game from Dragon Adventures beta but exclude game adventure module content such as story telling etc
The Future Of Dragon Adventures RPG Campaign Setting.
Now the Official Dragon Adventures game is ready to be printed but it's not written yet so none of that material is available yet on open source or D20 so use the beta page for our D20 / Open Source test page.
The official printed version of Dragon Adventures RPG Campaign Setting will have the full polygon dice and rule set, plus the expanded Dragon Adventures ability score rule set.
That printed version will be released as SRD5.1 plus original Dragon Adventures RPG Game Code.
Not all material in the beta will appear in that version, which has switched to only SRD5.1 and original game code for a finalized printed version.
The expanded rules on this page have now included content from the SRD5.1 for the reference material game rule handbook along with our own Dragon Adventures Walk Through Adventures and original Dragon Adventures game code.

Keeping with the theme of the new One D&D Playtest Dragon Adventures is adding new features to the beta to follow along with the release on D20.
Dragon Adventures D20 RPG Beta has not yet completed the D20 licence agreement review yet as of this time for official compatibility, meaning we're using the D20 system for the current version but haven't stated the specific sections used in Dragon Adventures for the Beta test.
Meaning...you have to test the game before you list the sections used from the D20 agreement, that means we're still choosing the rule selections for Dragon Adventures...assume it's everything used from 5E maybe, some sections can't be used on D20.
We have released our beta rules on D20 on this page for the Open Gaming Licence so copy as you want from the beta, be sure to credit Hasbro D20 if you use our rules in your printed official release if they are from that system.
Dragon Adventures has decided to use the terminology for the game adventures "Narrator" and then like a traditional board game players can take turns running the game as they read form the adventure module that teaches you while you play in a short hand version of an updated Advanced Dungeons & Dragons System.
Then maps and adventure material will be laid out in a board game format for the RPG for easy play, game design may be included in the players handbook or an adventure design module set.
Also some new ideas we have are books with storylines for characters that players can read for character designs like on "Unearthed Arcana 2022", in the books they are short stories and examples of game combat scenarios and teach how players can add character backgrounds to get new Character Background Bonus (CBB) for character development in the game and ideas to make their own adventures using the short stories in the books.
Also like the table below the updated "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons" version will include new playability for Astral Realm adventures with finished tables that are numbered in the game so the astral realm adventures will be included on the new charts with features like "Spell book 2" from our expansion design.

DRAGON ADVENTURES NOW RUNS ON OFFICIAL ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS
When designing this D20 Beta Game DRAGON ADVENTURES I created game patch for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons that "unlocked" levels never developed by the original game....yes this means DRAGON ADVENTURES owns new Original Rules in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
Yes, we have made this available on D20 if you read the page to use on your D20 System...making the rules available on this page on D20 means it can be copied on D20 Game Systems.
Doing this proves on D20 that DRAGON ADVENTURES runs OFFICIAL ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS and owns new ORIGINAL RULES FOR ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS that it invented with a new D20 game patch.
Original Rule in ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS (ABANDONED GAME SYSTEM)
ABILITY SCORE | WEAPON ADJUSTMENT | MAGIC-USER SPELL LEVEL | |
STRENGTH | 18 | +1,+2,+3 etc. | |
INTELLIGENCE | 18 | LEVEL 1 - SPELL BOOK 1 SLOTS 1 - 9 | |
WISDOM | 18 | ||
DEXTERITY | 18 | ||
CONSTITUTION | 18 | ||
CHARISMA | 18 |
In the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1978 Players Handbook this is the Official Rule, up to 18 Ability Score you only get one weapon adjustment and then 1 spell book with slots 1 - 9, starting at first level.
This system only allowed some player character to play beyond level 10 and only allowed for one spell book starting at Level One.
DRAGON ADVENTURES - OFFICIAL ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Expansion Rule:
This is released on D20 using Advanced Dungeons & Dragons as the rule set for DRAGON ADVENTURES, our Dragon Adventures patch officially expanded the closed abandoned original Advanced Dungeons & Dragons system.
ADDED SECOND ABILITY SCORE COLUMN FOR SCORES 19- 25
Use both columns simultaneously and then add first bonus plus second bonus to get your ability score bonus for over 18.
ABILITY SCORE | WEAPON ADJUSTMENT | MAGIC-USER SPELL LEVEL | ABILITY SCORE TWO - DRAGON ADVENTURES SECOND COLUMN | WEAPON ADJUSTMENT TWO | MAGIC-USER SPELL LEVEL TWO | TOTAL ADJUSTMENT COLUMN 1 + COLUMN 2 |
|||||
STRENGTH | 18 | +1,+2,+3 etc. | + | + | 25 | + | +7,+8,+9 | + | = +8, +10, +12 ETC. | ||
INTELLIGENCE | 18 | + | LEVEL 1 - SPELL BOOK 1 SLOTS 1 - 9 | + | 25 | + | + | LEVEL 1 ADDITIONAL SPELL BOOK SLOTS 10 - 19 | ADDED 'UNEARTHED ARCANA' SPELL BOOK BONUS FOR OVER 19 INTELLIGENCE COLUMN 2 | ||
WISDOM | 18 | + | + | 25 | + | ||||||
DEXTERITY | 18 | + | + | 25 | + | ||||||
CONSTITUTION | 18 | + | + | 25 | + | ||||||
CHARISMA | 18 | + | + | 25 | + |
By using this DRAGON ADVENTURES Advanced Dungeons & Dragons patch adding the "Second Ability Score Column" allows scores 19 - 25 to be played in a second column, scores can then be updated by calculating the second ability score box bonus plus the first.
This gives you TOTAL BONUS for the two ability score boxes added to each other, the two adjustment boxes can also be used separately so they account as separate bonuses for each score added to get your new total adjustment.
Adding the second columns for Intelligence over 19 as a second score the bonus becomes the second spell book level for playing magic at 19 and over intelligence gives you a second identical spell book as the first represented as slots 10-19 for "Unearthed Arcana" and giant level spells for over intelligence 18.
The second magic book for "Unearthed Arcana" Spell Level slots 10 - 19 starts at Level 1 the same as the first with all new expanded slots for new spells to be written for "giant level" games in the "Unearthed Arcana" setting.
These rules were never developed by Advanced Dungeons & Dragons and play as OFFICIAL on it's own PLAYERS HANDBOOK as a DRAGON ADVENTURES patch update, the second ability score column allows for new weapons and equipment bonuses for players to go above level 10 and also adds the second "Unearth Arcana" Spell book.
The difference in the game is starting at Level 1 players having over 18 ability scores in column two gives them new game adventure options staring right away at Level 1 with new stronger weapons and equipment in the game and a double sized magic spell book for over 18 Intelligence scores for "Unearthed Arcana" adventures starting at Level 1 or regular adventures for over ability score 18 on the non - "Unearthed Arcana" Setting.
Runs as OFFICIAL ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Original Rules (Closed Abandoned System) Patch on D20 on DRAGON ADVENTURES 2022.
Patching Advanced Dungeons & Dragons to run as my core game rules on D20 as a closed system, used to run new rules and adventures on DRAGON ADVENTURES.
The patch run back on Advanced Dungeons & Dragons opened new levels on the game model that was abandoned, and opened the functionality to run Ability Score Column 2 for Ability Score game play from 19 - 25 expanded the Official Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game rules, according to it's own book.
This means new rules can be available such as the Unearthed Arcana section that we wrote in our patch that allows you to have Two Spell Books at Level one, the second being for Ability Score Column 2 for scores up to 25 for the second Unearthed Arcana spell book for spell list two.
This allows you to play Official Unearthed Arcana on Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Official Rules that we wrote for DRAGON ADVENTURES.
For example, our original patch proves that the new Official Rules we added to Advanced Dungeons & Dragons on D20 run Official Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
The patch opened Unearth Arcana Adventures for Ability Score 19 - 25, on Ability Score Column 2...and passed all rules in the Players Handbook and runs as an official update...on the abandoned system, then dropped for a different one.
Now new Official Adventures from Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Unearthed Arcana are owned by DRAGON ADVENTURES on D20.
For example Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Unarthed Arcana: Ravenloft or Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Bugbear Wilderness Adventures.
These titles are now available on the D20 Systems as new Official Rules Updates to Advanced Dungeons & Dragons by DRAGON ADVENTURES.
The new tag line is DRAGON ADVENTURES D20 RPG BETA - RUNS ON OFFICIAL ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS
OWNS NEW OFFICIAL ORIGINAL RULE MODULES IN ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS ON D20 AS DRAGON ADVENTURES by creating new patch that expanded abandoned game into new official modules for ability scores 19 - 25 "Unearthed Arcana levels", "Spell Book 2 Expansion" and "Ability Score Column 2".
Runs as official on own Players Handbook!
Meaning on D20 RPG....
DRAGON ADVENTURES runs on OFFICIAL ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS and owns it's own new rule set's on D20 in OFFICIAL ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS
NEW ORIGINAL RULES.
For UNEARTHED ARCANA Levels and Levels for Ability Scores 19 - 25 and all it's derivatives on DRAGON ADVENTURES from the expansion of the Official Rules from the abandoned game onto the new one on D20 - DRAGON ADVENTURES.

DRAGON ADVENTURES D20 RPG BETA APPROACHES FINAL DRAFT
An end in sight to the final draft the box set book list is looking complete.
Dragon Adventures D20 RPG has created a closed rule set RPG walk though game to teach you how to play Advanced Dungeons & Dragons on the D20 System.
This means there are no house rules and the game has switched to module walk throughs to replace these rule sets meaning when you buy the game box you get an official game walk through system with all complete rules for the official adventure modules.
Dragon Adventures has created a new D20 character system to allow players to play at all 18 or 25 ability scores (or mix them up for random character generation) so they can run Advanced Dungeons & Dragons at full official levels for all characters on one system - Dragon Adventures.
The Dragon Adventures character sheet has added a second ability score column to play up to ability score 25 for all characters that include official equivalent level game settings to the original Advanced Dungeons & Dragons meaning the Dragon Adventures settings could have been an official format (if submitted for review) they could have continued with if you asked a game expert.
Meaning Dragon Adventures today could be an official submission for an Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game expansion because it runs the same "game engine" with the official results not picked by the official version, but the rules in Dragon Adventures could have been placed in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons if they had these options at that time - we offer this solution today, an official rules expansion that runs a larger complete Advanced Dungeons & Dragons system with no ruling from the original.
That's Dragon Adventures RPG D20 BETA, it's a functional official format to a complete Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rules expansion - except on my game it's on D20 as a stand alone adventure setting "Dragon Adventures D20 RPG Beta Campaign Setting".
DRAGON ADVENTURES D20 RPG has focused on play as you learn the game by using character creation as a walk through in the game, that's playable on official Dungeons & Dragons systems (HASBRO).
That's why I decided to focus on the Character creation section of the game and character balancing for official game play.
The Players Handbook has been broken up into expanded sections including Combat, Saving Throws and Magic.
The Magic-user character for example or Fighter character leads you on an introductory level introduction where instead of rolling for a random character you put in your own values and play at Easy, Medium or Difficult game settings and the characters in the book teach you how to play the game and become a Fighter or Magic-user for example out back...at his secret wizard school.
Him and the Fighter lead the characters through all the weapons, spell and magic item tables and then teach them how to use the different weapon and equipment settings is test combat mini games to learn how to use their character sheet in combat...then picking a tested weapon and magic set before entering a real Dragon Adventures game.
This allows players to use all the weapons, magic and equipment on practice levels before they start the adventure to know how their character will work on Official Dungeons & Dragons Game Play.
Dragon Adventures comes with separate books for each character choice and the character from the original Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Players Handbook walks you through the adventure to play as HIM on an official format as he shows you how to play the game.
The Monk for example teaches you how to fight hand to hand combat just like him at all ability score 18's or 25's for higher levels and walks you through Official Oriental Adventures game books as you learn to play as him in the walk through.
Includes new expanded character selection list to play as monsters on the original game including Centaur, Fairy, Ghoul and Kobold settings up to level 99+.
For example pick you practice selection ->Centaur ->Magic ->Combat and then only use those sections of the game on the practice level as the Official Centaur from Advanced Dungeons & Dragons teaches you to fight like him on an "Official Format Version" if it had been selected in the original game "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons".
New game book sections for all levels in the game including Astral and Magical realm "Official Format" walk through guide and example modules.
Remember....all official characters from the the original game teach you to play as them in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons on DRAGON ADVENTURES!
Including Fighter, Magic-user, Thief, Halfling etc.
Learn to play as the Halfling as him in an adventure on a new D20 setting in Dragon Adventures!
When characters have honed their skills and learn from the original characters from Advanced Dungeons & Dragons THEN they enter live game combat in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons on Dragon Adventures!
Playable on Official D20 Dungeons & Dragons Systems!
GAME SET INCLUDES:
Players Handbook Walk Through Guide
Adventure Module Walk Through "The Quest For The Golden Arrows"
Guides for each player character in the original Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game setting with new expanded list.
Player Character Sheet with second ability score column for up to 25 with "Official Ruleset" like D20 adjustments from Advanced Dungeons & Dragons!
Box set of example character sheets and complete module walk through adventures to help you learn to play the game for every character in the Players Handbook!
Teaches players how to read all maps and use character items BEFORE they enter the real game!
Practice any feature of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons on practice mode with example levels!
New Game book Module Adventures.
New character conversion system to allow Dungeons & Dragons monsters and characters to be played in Dragon Adventures with a conversion system for official play.
Spell Books for Spell Level 10 -18 (Unearthed Arcana Spell Book List) for expanded ability score column.
Expanded Weapon, Magic Item & Equipment List for ability scores 19 -25.
Check back soon, large update coming from Dragon Adventures D20 RPG Beta!
Dungeons & Dragons 6E Release
Dungeons & Dragons has announced a new 6E version and also released a 5E Rules Expansion "Monsters Of The Multiverse" which is also supposed to be compatible with the new upcoming Dungeons & Dragons 6E version.
The new rules expansion includes 30 new playable monster races, new rules include play as human and add +2 and +1 to your ability scores or +1 to three different spots and add adjustments to play as the new monster races for current character conversion from human to monster character.
Other new rules announced are "racial bonus" has been replaced by "weapon proficiency bonus" in a new format.
This game, Dragon Adventures D20 Beta Game, does not have a final version yet and I may make modules for the Dungeons & Dragons 6E upcoming version so I am play testing their new 6E rules on Dragon Adventures D20 Beta.
Dragon Adventures is adding the following monster races from the 5E Rules Expansion to play in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons on the Dragon Adventures format:
Bugbear, Centaur, Fairy, Goblin, Hobgoblin, Kobold, Lizardfolk, Orc
For example to add the Fairy Character to go with the current Halfling Character in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
Dragon Adventures for example using the new Ghoul Character when you play the series "Baldur's Gate" you will find that in the demon realm the prizes awarded is a "Ghouls Hand" that when you play as the Ghoul in the demon realm you get the prize of a ghoul's hand when the human characters entered the realm.
Playing as the Ghoul the demonic realm has opened up and the Ghoul has received it's own hand as a reward igniting a war between the humans and ghouls as they have now entered into the game in the demonic realm in my new D20 Beta Module I am writing to be on the D20 6E model yet to be released to go with the "Quest For The Golden Arrows" module which is currently advance playable.
Other Races and Classes in Dragon Adventures.
Races: Human, Dwarf, Elf, Gnome, Half-Elf, Halfling, Half-Orc
Classes: Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Paladin, Barbarian, Ranger, Magic-User (Wizard), Illusionist, Thief , Assassin, Monk, Cavalier, Ninja / Samurai Classes

DRAGON ADVENTURES:
BOOK ONE - THE QUEST FOR THE GOLDEN ARROWS
Updated Character Creation Guide and Walkthrough Guide - March 23, 2021.
A team of female archers in the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game setting in Dragon Adventures this game which is a module design for the official rules of Dungeons & Dragons set out to find the magical dragon slaying arrow that kills a dragon with one shot.
In the game all characters will be awarded the arrow when following the Dragon Adventures module The Quest For The Golden Arrows, as this module is developed you can follow along with how to play Dragon Adventures by completing the module by using Advanced Dungeons & Dragons as the reference guide for the adventure.
After receiving the reward the Dragon Adventures Female Archer Team will continue on with their Dragon Slaying Adventure.
- IN PROGRESS -
CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES, SEE GAME GUIDES BELOW
Read this page from top to bottom to follow along and learn how to play Advanced Dungeons & Dragons by using this development module for the D20 Dice System, DRAGON ADVENTURES which is the same as an adventure taking place in a setting like Greyhawk or Dragonlance.
DRAGON ADVENTURES - Advanced Dungeons & Dragons
This module is a development module to design an RPG game on the D20 Dice System as it's own stand alone adventure series in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons under their open gaming license and as a development game from a fan page .
This page is the main guide page and I have made it easy to follow along follow this page DRAGON ADVENTURES to read our manuals for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons in the DRAGON ADVENTURES setting.
Use this page for the index page of the module design following along with BOOK ONE - The Quest for the Golden Arrows this page.
This guide will be under reconstruction as I develop the module, when it is finished it will be in standard module format either on the D20 System or as a stand alone RPG game, before deciding how we want to market DRAGON ADVENTURES we want to see how it will play on the D20 System as a development module, this guide.
The adventure book The Quest For The Golden Arrows will teach you how to play Advanced Dungeons & Dragons because DRAGON ADVENTURES runs off their guide books.
However, this guide module DRAGON ADVENTURES has specific instructions for game play to teach the player how to play the game while they learn the guide.
This guide will change as it is updated.
DRAGON ADVENTURES
SECTIONS IN DRAGON ADVENTURES
Since Dragon Adventures is easy to follow to learn Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, this is the best part about Dragon Adventures...you're playing the game right now!
In this series learning the adventure module and setting up the game to play is all playing the game, you learn Dragon Adventures by playing the modules as you read through them by setting up the game.
Then you can learn each section and decide what "house rules" to follow, remember however that Dragon Adventures attempts to use all rules in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons in a simple follow along format as you read through the adventure book.
As you follow along through this module you play and learn the game as you go, on your own to set the game up and then later as a group.
When you are finished this module you will be able to play Advanced Dungeons & Dragons with most of the main rules in it and will probably no longer need "house rules" as you will have official rules to use for your game based on Dragon Adventures, learning this module will make it easier for you to play Advanced Dungeons & Dragons with the rules in the game, instead of using omissions.
This makes it a better game that is easier to follow.
Dragon Adventures uses all books from Advanced Dungeons & Dragons and calls from material from Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Second Edition and also basic Dungeons & Dragons as needed for reference material.
This book The Quest For The Golden Arrows uses the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons core books only which are The Player's Handbook, The Dungeon Master's Guide and Monster Manual One.
You also need a basic Advanced Dungeon's & Dragons Character Sheet with scrap paper and your own set of D20 Game System Dice.
THIS GUIDE IS DIVIDED INTO THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS
1. How To Setup Dragon Adventures for playing Advanced Dungeons & Dragons
2. Player Characters In The Game
3. Monsters And Levels In The Game
4. Reward And Experience
Use this guide book first as a master rules set for Dragon Adventures and then look the rules up using the referenced material in the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons books.
As you play Dragon Adventures you look up the rules of the game in those books, think of this guide as a master guide that shows you how to use the other books in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
Right to the point in Dragon Adventures, we're doing all the dice and numbers last.
The Character Sheet is the last section to setup in Dragon Adventures, at that point you will learn combat and dice rolling.
This makes the game easier to play, we also threw out the dice rolling system for the Abilities Scores for character creation and are just writing in our own numbers to make our own custom characters to test the module and to see what the larger characters play like in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
For this walkthrough you will using the game as a "perfect character" with ability scores all set to 18 across the board with all character bonuses calculated to see how the game runs on this character, the strongest character in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
Dragon Adventures uses all game guides from Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, as a result of this all playable characters can go above the Tenth Level, using the Rule Book Add On "Unearthed Arcana" I believe, which allows other characters to play with humans beyond the Tenth Level.
In Dragon Adventures all Characters in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons can play beyond the Tenth Level, this is not covered in the adventure The Quest For The Golden Arrows as it only goes to about the Tenth Level which is the highest main level in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
UPDATES:
General updates to Dragon Adventures June 10, 2022.
Added Second "Ability Score Column" to "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons" Character Sheet for Dragon Adventures for 19 - 25 ability score expansion modifiers.
Ability Score | Ability Score Adjustment | DRAGON ADVENTURES EXPANDED ABILITY SCORE 19 - 25
STRENGTH | 18 | TO HIT +2 |
DAMAGE +5 |
+ | 19 | TO HIT
+7 |
DAMAGE
+ 9 |
Applies To Advanced Dungeons & Dragons "Weapons Table" across all weapons for individual character.
New Calculation Formula:
Ability Score Column One Original + Column Two Modifiers
Like this:
Column A - Original Column B - Dragon Adventures Ability Score Column For 19 - 25
18 = Modifer +2 + 19 = New Dragon Adventures Modifier +7
The new modifier for you weapon or damage for example will now be +9 for use in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Official Game Modules using Dragon Adventures.
For "Unearthed Arcana" Levels then add the new d100 Modifier for Easy, Hard or Difficult Game Setting.
Example:
TO HIT ROLL:
2d10 + 1 - 33 on your d100 + 9 Original Weapon Bonus
To Play Advanced Dungeons & Dragons regular modules with over 18 ability scores use this format:
2d10 + 9 (for strength bonus of ability score 19).
Updates To Dragon Adventures Character Sheet - Ability Score Adjustments Update
Added Four new ability score adjustments to the "Dragon Adventures" Character Sheet (AD&D Character Version Sheet)
New Ability Score Adjustments:
Strength - Added "Injury Percentle Adjustment" (Injury Adjustment) & "Strength Adjustment"
Intelligence - Added "Magic Item and Spell Adjustment", "Experience Adjustment"
-----These New Updates Will allow for better Character conversion between D20 Systems, not in the Beta Game yet for "The Quest For The Golden Arrows" , use Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rule setting guide.-----
-Added "Magic Adjustment" to Intelligence Ability Score modifier
-Expanded spell book adjustment - allows for players to receive a larger expanded spell level book and magic item list for higher adventures in "Unearthed Arcana" and other D20 Game System Compatability.
This "Magic Adjustment" on the characters ability intelligence score will allow the character to be expanded easier into other D20 Game Settings by rewarding or penalizing the character in the other setting to balance the player ability level to match the other system.
Likewise in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, characters progressing into the higher levels of the game now including monsters beyond level 10 and in "Unearthed Arcana" in Dragon Adventures can now receive intelligence Magic Adjustment to adjust their spell level or magic item power by using a bonus or penalty at higher levels.
Fighters in Dragons Adventures receive the adjustment for magic item use.
-Added "Strength Adjustment" to the Strength Ability Score table, this adjustment will allow for players to transition into higher level of "Unearthed Arcana" and other D20 Systems by creating a "Strength Adjustment" to play on the other system.
-Added "Experience Adjustment" to intelligence ability score table to allow players to convert experience level to fight monsters from other D20 Game Scenarios by balancing the outside game such as Dungeons & Dragons to Dragon Adventures Experience points during the game play.
After the conversion for the character back to their game setting the "Experience Adjustment" score will then recalculate the characters experience level back to their level setting for their experience reward, AFTER the two different characters on the combined D20 Rules System for interactive play, this will help balance the characters to the same "player level" for cross game D20 combat when the two different systems interact.
Meaning Dungeons & Dragons D20 System Characters after fighting in Dragon Adventures get their rewards CONVERTED back to Dungeons & Dragons for their Level and Experience Points Reward.
- Added "Injury Percentile Adjustments" to character sheet for the current Dungeons & Dragons "Multiverse" D20 Format.
Injury Percentile Adjustments will allow characters to use a simple method to account for character damage during the game, an injury adjustment is a + /- score for weapon damage sustained or magic damage sustained from a particular attack or repeated damage of the same method to the character could result in an injury adjustment when using certain weapons or equipment too often.
This over usage will be penalized with an injury adjustment on the ability score strength table, characters will then have to switch weapons and try new methods to rebalance their character creating new scenarios by forcing characters to progress their character sheet development.
This "Injury Adjustment" score will allow Dragon Adventures more seamless interaction with other games on the D20 System.
Injury Adjustment +/- will allow Dragon Adventures Characters to play in Dungeons & Dragons 5E by adjusting their strength score to play 5E adventures with the same character used in Dragon Adventures.
This adjustment could also be implemented as a game card to convert the Dragon Adventures character to a Dungeons & Dragons 5E Character.
A Wizard or other magic user character could be affected by receiving a penalty from the psychical injury that could result in an Injury Adjustment to player spell casting ability that could decrease the effects of certain spells or magic items for a certain duration until the character has recovered in turns in the game.
Features Of Injury Adjustment In Dragon Adventures:
When used in game play Injury Adjustment will create new game scenarios and random events for players by forcing players to choose different routes through the game than they would normally take.
An injured player for example a wizard may have to use armour for several turns during the game scenario and then use weapon combat with varied armour class or players my lose their armour for several turns, fighters for example losing their plate mail armour would drop to armour class 0 and may have to fight in hand to hand combat with smaller characters.
Likewise the wizard would be forced into weapons combat when magic becomes unavailable.
This could also be used as a rule when entering the Dragon Adventures Realm of receiving an Injury Adjustment to enter the realm for outside D20 characters to be compatible.
This will also enhance the Oriental Adventures and Monk combat characters by forcing new interactions to make characters like fighters remove their armour to fight in hand to hand and martial arts scenarios.
TO FOLLOW ALONG AND PLAY AHEAD WITH THESE OPTIONS:
Adding a set of ability score adjustments to Advanced Dungeons & Dragons means a game system wide update.
This addition affects possible new outcomes through out the game, those are not defined yet here.
Such as the +/- bonuses across the players spells and weapons has yet to be defined for the new adjustments.
To play ahead, you can use the new adjustments as "player cards" and then write down your own adjustment and as you play the game scenario try and "map out" the +/- on the characters weapons and equipment to see if you can play at higher levels with with adjustment.
For example add +3 to dagger for a Wizard or +5 to a fighter for a magic item to get an idea of the manual conversion during game play then adjust bonuses as "level settings" while this D20 Beta is still writing the Dragon Adventures Conversion rules for new Ability Score Adjustments.
Then pick yourself the specific Dagger or Magic Item from the Dungeon Masters Guide or Players Handbook to apply the bonus or penalty to during game play on the item or weapon you pick.
-----------------------------------
For Test Game Settings:
Set Game Difficulty by Setting Monster Hit Dice (Monster Level X d4 ,d6, d8, d10, d12, d20)
Then set new Strength and Ability Score Adjustments into the following order for game settings EASY , HARD or DIFFICULT.
EASY - Monster Hit Points = d4 or d6 times monster level.
HARD - Monster Hit Points = d8 or d10 times monster level.
DIFFICULT - Monster Hit Points = d12 or d20 times monster level.
Then calculate new ability score adjustments to match.
EASY: +/- will equal your roll times 1 - 33%
HARD: +/- will equal your roll times 34 - 66%
DIFFICULT: +/- will equal your roll times 67 - 99%
Example:
The higher converted character to monster to play higher levels in "Unearthed Arcana" would be weapon damage times 1 - 33% Strength adjustment.
The new adjustment would make the weapon at the higher level = damage + 1 - 33%. - Of ONE d100 based on the Characters Strength Ability Score
Example Strength 18 = Adjustment + 1- 33% for easy, at the attack the player gets for example 2d10 for damage + 1 -33 on the d100 to represent their strength bonus based on one dice bonus only on the d100.
Represent this on the dice by example 1d10 + 1 -33 on the 100 Sided Dice OR 1d10 + 1 -3 on the ten sided dice. for 10, 20 or 30 bonus points.
As the difficulty increases the adjustment gets HIGHER, at the difficult game setting this could be represented as a roll like Weapon Damage equals 4d10 + 67 - 99 on 1d100.
Keep rolling the d100 until you get a value between 67 - 99 for difficult, 34 -66 for hard and 1 - 33 to easy.
REMEMBER: Use the same formula for + and - adjustments.
These are game test settings only to set up a reference for the new ability score adjustments.
------------------------------------
- Following the guide for Female Character Creation play ahead as any character trying to copy the Female Fighter setup, then try and equip your character in a similar balanced way.
- For Multi-classing assign experience points evenly between the two classes for the character, this takes twice as long to go up in level.
Balance this by using Non Player Character's (NPC's) for players not multi classing, the second smaller character sheet will help balance game play time for regular characters who level up normally.
- Added Civilization Type to rule set from Dungeons & Dragons 5e, now monsters can have their own kingdoms such as Chaotic Monarchy etc. Dungeon Master's should penalize players for talking out of alignment a -7 on their To Hit Roll Needed for one round.
- Also allow for usage of "Death Save Rule" for last survival attempt during combat, remember some characters may have Resurrection Spells...if you lose your Death Save, try to continue with Resurrection Spell on your party's dead character, for game play try and include a character with the spell "Resurrection" if you want to expand the Death Save Rule format.
- Added "Character Advancement Cards" - To deal with the advancement between books and levels such as "Unearth Arcana" Dragon Adventures character's will be given an "Advancement Card" with expanded statistics in the format of a character "card slot" which will balance their Character Sheet to allow the players to play between different rule set version's in Dungeons & Dragons.
This will allow all characters in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons to continue up in level, when they reach the maximum they will be given an expansion card to allow them to continue.
This "Jump Card" will allow for players to jump into the higher game play without affecting their character sheet by using a card as an expansion slot to the character sheet with higher statistics on it to play in the different adventure backgrounds of other rule books such as Ravenloft, Dragonlance and Greyhawk for example the player will be given Ravenoft, Dragonlance or Greyhawk expansion cards for their character sheet to allow them to play in the different versions.
- Spill over battles will be resolved on the Table Top in any format in a 200 vs. 200 miniature battle using a 100 sided dice in a 1 - 1 ratio, example roll one 43 - 19 , Player one kills 43 miniatures of the enemy on the table top and loses 19 from the opponents attack on their roll.
Then they continue until someone quits, larger one on one fights within the table top will fall back to the Dragon Adventures regular campaign format.
-Since Dragon Adventures is a D20 Beta Game, Players may summon creatures from new Dungeon's & Dragons editions on the random events table as monsters in the future in Dungeons & Dragons view them from the future in the psychic realm, transferring rules an adventures into the past in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, players will be given expansion cards for this game play combat to allow their characters to fight creatures from the 5th Edition who all have names in the adventures and have summoned the Archlich from 5e , who is the defender of the Evil Demilich Monarchy in Dragon Adventures from the Advanced Dungeon's & Dragons format in the Quest For The Golden Arrows.
-Important - Monsters in The Quest For The Golden Arrows are assigned by Treasure Type, just make sure to properly award the arrows....use the Treasure Type Table in Basic Rules (Red Cover 1981) for Award Assignment from the Monster Lair in the Quest For The Golden Arrows, the Demilich who has been summoned as a random event in the game has established an Evil Monarchy by viewing the future...seeking out this quest may summon the Archlich from 5e in Dragon Adventures.

Here is an example of RPG theory on D20 for your DRAGON ADVENTURES Character Sheet:
THIS IS THE BASIC RULE SET (THEORY) FOR DRAGON ADVENTURES D20 RPG BETA
Added Second Ability Score Column & D20 Experience Points Conversion Chart.
Meaning, every so many experience points adding up on a second column on your character sheet from outside D20 systems gives you awards in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons such as “Level Up”.
Here is the example formula for the D20 Theory for the Second Ability Score Column Assignment.
Ability Score Column 1: Original Ability Score Column up to roll 18
Ability Score Column 2: Dragon Adventures Expansion Ability Score Column up to roll 25 – Unearthed Arcana Settings.
This gives up two settings regular and Unearthed Arcana Giant Level Settings.
Weapon Guide Example:
Sword 1: 10″
Sword 2: 12″
Sword 3: 19″
Ability Score Adjustment 1 – Regular Adjustments Example +2, +3, +4
Becomes on your character sheet ability score adjustment box.
Ability Score Column A
Weapon: Sword 1, +2 Adjustment
Sword 2, +3 Adjustment
Sword 3, +4 Adjustment
Ability Score Column B – DRAGON ADVENTURES ABILITY SCORE COLUMN (UNEARTHED ARCANA)
For values from 19-25 to play in Unearthed Arcana Settings.
Sword 1, Sword, 2 and Sword 3 are given giant level bonuses and made magic items
These become for Ability Score Column 2:
Weapon: Sword 4 – 10″ + Magic Adjustment +5
Sword 5 – 12″ + Magic Adjustment +6
Sword 6 – 19″ + Magic Adjustment +7
Then consider your specific Abilities.
Strength – Attack Bonuses
Wisdom – Spell or Magic Item Bonus
Dexterity – Defense Bonuses (Movement)
Intelligence – Spell or Magic Item Bonus
Constitution – Endurance Bonus
Charisma – Personality Bonus or Penalty (Character Alignment)
Unearth Arcana items may become:
Sword 4: +5 Magic Adjustment (Strength…bend bars / lift gates bonus)
Sword 5: +6 Magic Adjustment ( Intelligence bonus…spell casting / defense)
Sword 6: +7 Magic Adjustment (Dexterity bonus movement / surprise)
DRAGON ADVENTURES applies this theory across all weapons and equipment for character rewards at Unearthed Arcana Levels.
As well as regular levels, specific bonuses for each weapon and equipment will be assigned later.
To make the jump to Unearthed Arcana Giant Levels use your own weapon and apply results above to build your own weapon for the game, something that can compete in the higher levels such as a Sword +7 Dexterity Bonus on movement which creates a saving throw of a +7 bonus on Unearthed Arcana Levels plus you basic attack bonus using the magic sword +7.
ON WEAPON SECTION OF YOUR CHARACTER SHEET:
Weapon | Ability Score Bonus 1 | + | Ability Score Bonus 2 | = | Total Adjustment |
Sword 10″ | +2 Attack | + | +5 Magic | = | +7 Attack |
Sword 12″ | +3 Attack | + | +6 Magic | = | +9 Attack |
Sword 19″ | +4 Attack | + | +7 Magic | = | +11 Attack |
At the higher Unearthed Arcana levels the sword gains a magical bonus for play at Ability Score 25.
THE SAME FOR EQUIPMENT & ARMOR:
Plate Mail 1 - 10 lb - 0
Plate Mail 2 - 15 lp - +1
Plate Mail 3 - 20 lp - +2
DRAGON ADVENTURES UNEARTHED ARCANA SPELL LEVEL:
Expanding on the Spell Level Table In Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, DRAGON ADVENTURES expanded character sheet adds a second Intelligence Ability Score.
This gives the magic-user characters a new "second spell book" after strength 18.
This means you get a new spell book at strength 19 - 25 for your second ability score column.
The spell level meaning how many spells you can have in your spell book ...not character level....
Do not confuse character level and spell level, character level 10 may be spell level 2.
For example you only get spell level 1 - 9 for SPELL BOOK ONE, this goes to level 99.
For spell level 10 - 18 for SPELL BOOK TWO that goes to level 99 for Unearthed Arcana Spell Level with a new higher Ability Score Spell list for Unearthed Arcana Levels.
For example Spell Book Two for Intelligence 25 would be Magic Missile spell + Magic Adjustment + 5.
The same as weapon assignment.
SPELL 1: Magic Missile
Intelligence Score: 18 = Normal Spell, Spell Book One
Intelligence Score 25 = Arcana Spell, Spell Book Two + 5
The magic-user character's get two spell books.
Example:
SPELL BOOK ONE | SPELL BOOK TWO
Spell 1 - Spell Level 1 | Spell 25 - Spell Level 10
Spell 2 - Spell Level 1 | Spell 26 - Spell Level 10
Spell 3 - Spell Level 1 | Spell 27 - Spell Level 10
Book One is Spell Level 1 - 9
Book Two is Spell Level 10 -18
No values have been assigned yet, that is an example of basic DRAGON ADVENTURES D20 RPG theory for weapon and equipment value assinment.
For example by weapon type, equipment type or spell type and then by size and weight, plus bonus.
To create your own items on D20 follow this guide for the DRAGON ADVENTURES method, then use our examples to asign your own values to your game.
Continuing As Monsters In Advanced Dungeons & Dragons To Level 99 In DRAGON ADVENTURES
In the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Players Handbook Monster Characters are limited in level.
In the DRAGON ADVENTURES setting using the above Ability Score Adjustment Rules Monster Characters can play up because their equipment list has been update so that it uses the same system as the Second Ability Score Column Adjustment and weapon bonuses.
The monsters weapons and equipment are now balanced to them for example like above, the Half Orc could only use a 12″ Sword + 7 Magic Bonus to gain the higher level.
This gives the character a new weapons and armor balance with new settings for higher levels and size creatures by using new weapon and equipment size combinations that weren’t available for the characters, this allows them to gain the same level advancement as the human characters by using matching strength items that are available in the monster sizes.
Adjustments and new weapon sizes haven’t been completed yet in DRAGON ADVENTURES, but using this guide you can make your own based on it’s basic formula for weapons, then apply to equipment to update your monster character for higher level play in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons on DRAGON ADVENTURES.
REMEMBER, IF A MONSTER CAN’T PLAY IN A PART OF THE STORY BACKGROUND YOU CAN’T USE IT ON THAT PART OF THE ADVENTURE
1. How To Setup Dragon Adventures for playing Advanced Dungeons & Dragons
1. THE QUEST FOR THE GOLDEN ARROWS MODULE WALKTHROUGH
Learn the game from the top down learning the map first and then how to navigate the main game then learn how to use the monsters in the dungeon to get the rewards first in a walk though to understand the game, after you are finished create your characters for quick start Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game play.
This is done by picking a character type and writing in the Ability Stores to create a character of your desired skill level without rolling the dice, this is to quickly jumpstart your game into playing Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
Finally play the game normally after learning the walkthrough using dice, combat rules and character sheets for the actual game play - this is done last in Dragon Adventures.
The point of Dragon Adventures is so that you can learn to play the game first with the advanced rules in tact in a walkthrough, then you will play with actual dice and game play with a pre built character combination by writing in your own numbers and skipping rolling the dice for character creation, to give yourself the exact character from the book by just writing in the numbers.

8. MONSTERS - http://www.advanceddungeonsanddragons.com/dragonadventures/monsters.html
The Playing Characters in this module The Quest For The Golden Arrows are all girl female archer characters of different races and are of regular alignment.
This gives the characters stronger bonuses overall by using regular alignment to add bonuses to the character's game play and not subtracting from their statistics in the game by using negative or evil forces in the game to give themselves a stronger character in the game which is less flawed over all in all game scenarios.
This helps reduce the chances of receiving a penalty in the game during combat and magic scenarios.
For The Quest For The Golden Arrows assume for now that all characters in the game have all perfect ability scores of 18 with all bonuses intact and calculated on the character sheet for their dice rolls during game play.
At this point in The Quest For The Golden arrows the characters are all Female Human or Female Elf characters with perfect ability scores and properly equipped with weapons and armour for a balanced character with positive reward bonuses in the game.
Running this format on Dragon Adventures is extremely important to the game.
Writing in the numbers manually in Dragon Adventures let's you use all characters in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons with pre determined "perfect" ability scores, as high to all 18's as you can get with proper assigned bonuses, these are the best characters in the game for ability scores in the 18 - 25 level.
The Quest For The Golden Arrows only uses characters from the first section all 18's for ability scores, later you will be shown how to expand the character to ability scores 25 by following the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons modules to convert you character to use those levels which is covered in an expansion rule set which is an additional rule book to go along with the Players Handbook, for this adventure it only goes up to ability scores 18.
Beyond that you need include another rule book which will be explained later.
Dragon Adventures takes place in it's own setting like the Greyhawk or Dragonlance Series of Books, horses and archery modules.
The several characters in this adventure are the strongest Female Fighter Characters in the book with all ability scores set to 18 for the Human and Elf Characters.
These are the strongest Female Characters in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
Female Human Fighter and Female Elf Fighter - their weapons and armour have been set to Dragon Adventures for archery.
What this means is the characters main weapon is a Bow and Arrow, the sword is the secondary weapon because this is an archery game for Female Fighters in the Human and Elf Class.
The importance of this in the game is they are the strongest Female Archers in the Human and Elf world of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons with perfect ability scores.
For this adventure we are using Human and Elf Female Fighter Characters Only.
This will allow you to learn the game in the Female Fighter mode for Human or Elf with no magic spells, however this will include using magic items.
Although the characters are Fighters only specializing in Archery they will have no magic powers except for magic items, this will help give you an idea of what the game looks like for just the fighter class by using the strongest Female archery characters in the Human and Elf Class.
In this version of Dragon Adventures we will probably be running all characters at level 18 ability scores for our instruction modules to get a quick overview what the strongest characters in the game look like.
These are the most powerful characters in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons in the Dragon Adventures setting.
Using characters with no magic spells in The Quest For The Golden Arrows is the point of the module, it is a module for Fighters the most physically strong characters in the game to get the most powerful weapons and are probably more powerful overall than most other characters in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons who use magic spells.
In this module there will be Four Female Human Fighter Characters and Three Elf Fighter Characters in the party.
The Elf is limited to Level 7, so the game stops ascending levels when the Elf reaches it's maximum level.
The arrows should be awarded at Level 5, the main level of the game.
After this the game will go to Level 7, the characters will remain at a maximum of Level 7 in the module and collect experience points to build their character to Level 7 after this the characters can be used in any other adventure module in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons for Level 7 Elves or the Human Character can continue on into the higher levels in a new adventure.
The point to using Four human and three Elf characters is to show by the end of the game - with the team getting the golden arrows on Level 5 and then playing for two more levels in the outer realms slaying dragons - that the characters all start out the same, but as the game progresses they will all turn into different characters as rewards and level are handed out.
When we are done we will have seven original characters all with unique skills and pre-loaded from the adventure The Quest For The Golden Arrows and all receiving different rewards from the magical items and weapons tables making them unique characters at the end.
The seven brand new characters we created by running the adventure can then be used on any other version of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons as pre-made characters.
3. Monsters In The Game
The Quest For The Golden arrows has been preloaded with monsters to give you the desired reward from the game, when you follow the guide your character will be guaranteed to get the Magical Dragon Slaying Arrow that can kill a dragon with one shot in the game.
This is used for higher game play, after you complete this adventure your character will be equipped with the Dragon Slaying Arrow and your character sheet will be compatible with all Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Adventure Modules and you can then play your character built here in Dragon Adventures on any module as it is built on official game play.
This is super important to Dragon Adventures.
The characters built here are compatible with all other official game modules in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
The perfect Female Human or Female Elf archery character built here can then take the Dragon Slaying Arrow and then use it on other adventure modules.
Any specific requirements by other Adventure Modules will have to be automatically awarded to our character when they enter places like Dragonlance to give them the required items they may need for a Dragonlance adventure to convert the character created here in Dragon Adventures into the Dragonlance format.
This transition of characters from here in Dragon Adventures to a Grey Hawk or Dragonlance game will be included in this guide and in fact the player created here will be more powerful than characters in the other modules by using this guide The Quest For The Golden Arrows however they be missing some small items to enter Grey Hawk or Dragonlance that will be automatically assigned to them when they enter the other setting.
Remember, when we're do that we're playing Grey Hawk or Dragonlance on the Dragon Adventures format and that will be automatically accounted for when using those modules.
For playing the characters there as a stand alone, you will have to do the manual conversion to give them the extra items.
You can also start by playing the other module normally with the Dragon Adventures characters and then automatically assigning the character the required items to play the Grey Hawk or Dragonlance game if you don't know what they would be in advance.
You will find that out as you read through their modules.
In this adventure it is assumed that once you have the arrow you never lose it and can use it as much as you want, however this opportunity may not happen in the game but when it does happen you will have one shot with the Dragon Slaying Arrow when the opportunity is presented in the game.
Monsters in the adventure The Quest For The Golden Arrows range from about level 1 - 6 section of the book about half way through Advanced Dungeon's & Dragons.
However, these are not small sections and contain expanded levels with more monsters in them to get the rewards you want.
Playing the module you should receive the Dragon Slaying Arrow at Level 5 in the game, for each character.
Level 5 in the adventure is the longest level in the game, all characters in the adventure must complete all of Level 5 to get their Dragon Slaying Arrow which may take some time...after this the group can continue on to the next adventure to begin slaying more dragons.
The Quest For The Golden Arrows is not a short module, however it takes place from Levels 1 - 7 and uses the basic features of the advanced game using only the core three books...The Players Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide and Monster Manual One.
The module is lengthy for seven characters who all want the same rewards on the table, The Dragon Slaying Arrows, so game play will be long and extensive at the lower Levels 1 - 4 so that the characters can build up their stats and experience to be able to fight the creatures to win the arrows as a reward on Level 5.
These numbers may change as I build the Module for Dragon Adventures - The Quest For The Golden Arrows but that should be close to the awards level.
Playing the game in this manner will allow players to "meet" all the Monster characters in their basic settings because they have to spend extra time building up experience points at a low level, however due to their strength requirements they will not find this difficult as they are the most powerful characters in the game.
This makes the game more exciting and fun to play.
These are the monsters you will fight in the game on your quest for the golden dragon slaying arrows.
Dragon Adventures - The Quest For The Golden Arrows - Monster List.
Merman, Nixie, Rat, Giant, Sprite, Stirg, Elf, Grume, Goblin, Halfling, Hob Goblin, Kobold, Troglodyte, Ghoul, Lizard Man, Gnoll, Carrion Crawler, Anhkheg, Harpy, Sea Hag, Triton, Bug Bear, Water Weird, Doppleganger, Ghost, Pecyton, Beaver Giant, Blink Dog, Hellhound, Vakaalwere, Spider, Cockatrice, Yeti, Gargoyle, Unicorn, Carnivorous Ape, Owl Bear, Slithering Tracker, Scorpion, Ogre Mage, Manticore, Sea Lion, Catoblepas, Wind Walker, Displacer Beast, Mummy, Troll, Black Dragon, Brass Dragon, Succubus, Wyvern, Grifton, Groaning Spirit, Type V Marilith, Morkoth, Copper Dragon, Green Dragon, Gorgon, Type 1 (Vrock), Hill Giant, Umber Hulk, Blue Dragon, Covatl, Dragonne, Hezrou, Stone Giant, Lamia, Levcrotta, Shedu, Red Dragon, Willow Wisp, Ghost, Fire Lizard, Gold Dragon, Cloud Giant, Fire Giant, Frost Giant, Dragon Turtle.
As you can see that encompasses a quite extensive list of Monsters in the game, I will have to verify all them and there are s few missing from the list just to make sure I have the correct list.
Those are the monsters that the characters will face in the adventure one at a time and also in groups against the party as they proceed through the level and into the dungeons.
These creatures will appear mostly in groups, the numbers of each monster in each dungeon or scenario will be given in the module walk through and also include random encounters - every three turns of play.
That's three squares of travel on square graph paper or three "squares" of travel on hex graph paper for outside maps.
The random encounter check performed every three turns will add even more monsters, adventure and rewards for the characters into the game.
As you can probably see this game module is a complete full adventure of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons using the full game in one adventure so it is a large module and the main setting for the background in the DRAGON ADVENTURES setting and we will do other characters and rewards in them later in different adventures.
The setting of Dragon Adventures itself is that it is a large region full of castles and estates that the characters come from and they can be used in the game as castle and dungeon settings.
For example in the future of the game in Dragon Adventures the characters created here may have to defend their castles and estates after the adventure if their region gets invaded by monsters leaving the characters open for game play in new Dragon Adventure modules at that time.
The point to that above is that if you want the actual Dragon Slaying Arrow for your character is that is the scope of the game you will have to play to be properly assigned the arrow according to official Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rules, so it is a long adventure to build your character and learn all the basic monsters in the Monster Manual during extended game play on your quest.
The difference is the Dragon Slaying Arrow is given as a specific reward to each of the 5 - 7 characters on purpose for doing the module and not assigned as a "random reward" to make sure all players get the arrow for their character.
That is also official Advanced Dungeons & Dragons game play, you can be given the special reward specifically on purpose instead of randomly by completing a large game of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons by playing with the proper rules to build the character properly and receiving a specific reward for the challenge like the Dragon Slaying Arrow.
This is important so that you can play future modules of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons that require you to have a special item to use the adventure like the dragon slaying arrow.
As you proceed through the adventure the settings you will face resemble the settings of the monsters homes, that is where you are going - which is on your way to the marshes to fight the Willow Wisps, after that you will be heading to the outer realms in the walk though to fight the dragon levels for Level 6 and Level 7 after you receive the reward, so you can see that it is a long and inclusive game for the character to see the landscape of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons in the Dragon Adventures setting.
If you are following the guide become familiar with the monster list above so that you can see all the terrain and background settings in The Quest For The Golden Arrows that will be included in the game, that is described in the monster description of where they live in Monster Manual One.
4. Reward And Experience
All experience points and rewards have been calculated in Dragon Adventures to give your character the proper treasure and reward.
The Dragon Slaying Arrow is the THE ARROW OF SLAYING from page 168 of the Dungeon Master's Guide.
The Quest For The Golden Arrows module will assign you the arrow if you complete the adventure.
This is a Gold +3 Magical Arrow which has the ability to kill any dragon with one shot in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
The arrow is gold because it has been magically created to kill gold dragons which gives the arrow the ability to kill any dragon with one shot in the game, I think you can only fire this once per fight so that is it's limitation.
When you encounter a dragon with the arrow you only get one shot try and kill it per fight for each team member once equipped with the Dragon Slaying Arrows.
The adventure takes us on a journey into the Archery Realm of Advanced Dungeon's & Dragons for Human and Elf Characters where they can receive the reward.
Your characters which are the strongest Human and Elf archery characters in the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons universe have perfect ability scores of all 18 and travel from the Archery Realm into the boggy regions of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons in DRAGON ADVENTURES this module to fight the Willow Wisps to retrieve the gold magical dragon slaying arrow The Arrow Of Slaying and then travel into the cold and dark mountainous regions in their dragon slaying adventure seeking rewards from the dragon's dungeons and lairs in the outer realms of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.
For 5 - 7 Players of Human or Elf Characters.
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Level 1 - 7 Adventure.
